Healing Concert and LEI Fundraiser

Join us for an intimate and thought-provoking evening with singer, teacher and shaman, Christopher Reynolds.

From Chris: There is a nervous discord that inhabits Christianity, Islam and Judaism. According to mythologist, Joseph Campbell, this discord is due to their shared legacy of the Old Testament. A similar discord inhabits the entire Western tradition due to its roots in the gods and goddesses who ascended to power by overthrowing Gaia (Mother Earth) and Ouranos (Father Sky).

The patriarchal ways of the Abrahamic traditions and the Western world view all deride what Indigenous wisdom calls, 'the survival layer of life.' The survival layer is our relationship with the dead, meaning the the Ancestors who love us and wish us to enjoy flourishing lives.

This healing concert and fundraiser for LEI offers songs, stories and methods to recognize, reclaim and restore the survival layer of life that Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Western culture has denigrated, attacked and appropriated the past 2500 years.
Proceeds from ticket sales to this concert benefit the world-changing work of Lake Erie Institute.
