Live Your Soul Work Now!
Vision, Leadership and the "Biz"

With Dr. Liz Meacham and Dr. Nurete Brenner

Co-Executive Directors of Lake Erie Institute

In this workshop, Liz and Nurete will share spiritual insights, proven strategies and business details for bringing your soul work more fully into the world. Together, we can create a new story of change making in collaboration, community and joy.

The time is now to create a new world amidst the fading away of the old, in spirit, collaboration and supportive circles of community.

The Calling

We are living in times of great darkness, and also uprecedented illumination. Never in the history of our species have we faced challenges of the magnitude that we are navigating now. At the same time, what Charles Eisenstein calls The Story of Interbeing, is here to be channeled into the world with great power and light. Now more than ever, those of us that are called to be healers for the world must find a way to bring our work fully into form, though this work often runs against the tide of the dominant culture.

The Container

We CAN live into the new story, cultivating a new world together within the limitations of the industrial belief system that dominates our economy.
How do we launch and run successful businesses as healers, change makers, and Earth lovers? How do we create a new, emergent story of connection and care in community through our work, while existing within the industrial belief patterns of scarcity, competition, and denigration of people and the planet?

In this workshop, we will:
  • develop spiritual and shamanic methods to vision and buttress our unique spiritual mission
  • explore and define our personal styles of leadership within the context of the new story, while learning to manage the pressures of the old
Bringing our spiritual mission fully into the world is challenging, often scary, always exhilarating, sometimes exhausting, extremely rewarding, and ESSENTIAL for our times.

The Details

Together, we will grow our medicine basket of skills needed to run a successful “business,” our very own garden of change and growth, including:
  • finding a niche in a saturated field
  • creating a “boutique” brand
  • developing marketing materials
  • working with technology including websites, social media, mailing lists and taking payments online
  • planning incorporation, insurance and managing finances
A New Story for Earth - Charles Eisenstein
Charles Eisenstein, author and philosopher: http://www.charleseisenstein.net

"I can't give a formula for how to spread joy, but I know that the source of the joy is one's own joy, and that that is not distinct from pleasure and fulfillment of desires. So I ask: What makes me feel alive? What is the expression of my inner wild? What would really feel good? What if what makes me feel alive leads me toward the deeper joys, which are found in generosity and service, in creating things that are beautiful to me? Maybe the world needs more of that. How many petroleum company executives are doing their work because it's beautiful to them? Not very many, I bet."
